We are recruiting to fill the position of: Job Position: Procurement Manager Location: Lagos Job reference no: NGA1280 Job Description The Procurement Manager is responsible for the sourcing and purchasing goods and services for the company according to its available budget for each department. He/she will development and manage the vendor selection process for the company and negotiate with suppliers, ensuring delivery schedules are met and prepare reports for the company’s management. Responsibilities Forecasting likely levels of demand for services and products to meet the business needs and keeping a constant check on stock levels to maximise business efficiency; Develop the organisation’s purchasing strategy; Identifying potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers, and building and maintaining good relationships with them; Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers; Ensuring suppliers are aware of business objectives; Negotiating and agreeing contracts and monitoring their progress – checking the quality of service provided; Evaluating bids and making recommendations based on commercial and technical factors; Forecasting price trends and their impact on future activities; Processing payments and invoices; keeping contract files and using them as reference for the future.
